iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I guess all this is a long way of saying I hope you watch and enjoy the season. And whether you knew what a Badmiral was before, or that the title “Tomorrow’s Enterprise” is a fun nod to “Yesterday’s Enterprise”, I hope you come back for season 5 when we take this NCC-1701 on her final missions.

I know, that kind of thinking may sound like heresy to you. It definitely would’ve been to a young left-brained Stan who highly valued logic and order and definitely identified with pale-skinned androids and wore his hair slicked back as a kid for way too long…

It may not seem like it, but we make these shows with the idea that the answer can also be #3) You can start with this show in front of you and it’ll be okay. Seriously. Disco, SNW, Prodigy, SFA… <Even Lower Decks?> Yup, even Lower Decks…

160

Being perpetually online as I am, every now and then, I’ll see some variation of the following question pop up: “I want to get into Star Trek, where should I start?” And the two main schools of thought are #1) Watch them all in airdate order; or #2) Watch them all in stardate order…

Happy #StrangeNewWorlds season 4 finale day! Ep410 “Tomorrow’s Enterprise” is written by our co-showrunner Henry Alonso Myers & rockstar Robbie Thompson. Directed by our fearless producing director Chris Fisher. Can’t believe we started work on this season over 2 years ago…

I didn't know if @paramountplus.com could ever top my love of Sonic when it comes to video game adaptations, and then they went and teamed with @mikemcmahan.bsky.social for #GoldenAxe, which left me grinning ear-to-ear! Check out my full review on @screenrant.bsky.social! tinyurl.com/28ctftkq

Golden Axe Review: Paramount+'s Meta Hysteria Sets The Bar Even Higher For Video Game Adaptations

One voice actor is particularly amazing.

Golden Axe is great! What’s not to love about a show produced by Mike McMahan, Joe Chandler, and Titmouse? Starring MATTHEW RHYS?! Based on the SEGA game?!! Launches tomorrow. Check it out!

Here’s my poster for this week’s newest episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: “Orders of Magnitude”. Great episode to ring in 60 years of Trek. #startrek #startreksnw #strangenewworlds #startrek60

S4E8 streams tomorrow! “Orders of Magnitude” was written by Alan McElroy and directed by Sharon Lewis. They crafted a gripping thriller that centers around a clash of ironclad wills on the bridge of the Enterprise…

I should’ve known you were the mirror JVC when my 60th shirt came with a goatee on it.

For the record, it was A LOT of pee. But worth it! Miss you, Mike!

Nothing as cool as #GoldenAxe, launching 9/16/26 on Paramount+, but what can be?

110

I clearly have too much time on my hands without Middle Decks to keep me busy.

110

Doth don’t want to protest too much other than to say I hope you check out the episode and what I think is a story that might be familiar to Trek fans, but packaged in a little bit of a different wrapper, and I hope you find things that speak to you. Enjoy!

A man grieving at the loss of his family & being compromised? A soap story, but also a Trek story. A doc trying a radical procedure that works? Classic soap story but also kind of a Trek story. An alternate version of a character wreaking havoc? Definitely a soap story, and definitely a Trek story…

When we were first talking about 407, I didn’t know if these flavors would go together. But what this season of SNW has reminded me is that Star Trek is always in conversation with the culture in which it’s created, and so much of the stories in culture of the last 60 years can be found in Trek…

I love soaps. I spent many days telling Joey that Dorian was too old for him, wanting Jason to leave the mob, and wondering how Marlena was going to get unpossessed. Us soap fans are passionate about our shows, feel a sense of ownership over them, and love knowing how the TV sausage is made…

Happy #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds day! Ep407, “Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass”, is written by Dana Horgan & Bill Wolkoff, directed by new-to-Trek Anna Dokoza…

To be fair, if they didn’t recuse themselves from competition this year after so many wins previously, those Moonies definitely would’ve won again. We acknowledge their premium quality entertainment.

Happy #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds day! Ep406, “Off-Hour”, is written by Bill Wolkoff and directed by Dan Liu. Just one person’s opinion but I think Jess and Babs kill it in this episode. Hope you enjoy!

TV writers, please use this thread to introduce yourself. Tell people what level you are. What you write. And if there is a dream staff you’d like to work on right now. I don’t have a huge following on here but who knows? Maybe the right person will see this and give you the boost you need.

Hah! Fair point. Losing my blue message bubbles would be disastrous! :)

I feel like the Little Ricky spinoff should’ve come up in one of our meetings already. That’s on me.

120

It’s funny, I came around on ENT too. On first watch, I was a little uncomfortable w/the Archer/Trip v T’Pol of it all & the gender dynamics at play but I’ve found a lot to appreciate since. In any case I’m sorry 405 isn’t your jam & I hope some of the other eps this season will speak more to you.🖖

Appreciate you giving it a shot. 🖖

It’s time to… something the something.

When the opportunity came to have Star Trek partner with the company that carries on that Henson legacy, it felt like a natural combination. Birds of a feather, if you will. I hope you give the episode a shot and hope you enjoy!

Jim Henson taught a generation about diversity, open-mindedness, and optimism, about the same time that another “Great Bird” was doing the same on Star Trek.

When we first started talking about doing an episode about… “a transporter accident”, I remember it being an easy, “YES!”
