It's a ridiculous position. Everyone with a European heritage is genetically descended from Charlemagne, does that make us all Franks?

They never told me what I got on my Latin A-Level exam, just the overall grade based on exam & coursework together. However, given my marks for the coursework, to end up with an "N", I must have scored a negative... (Note for non-Gen-X, N was a grade between E (low pass) and U (Fail) in the 90s)

Well, well, well - if it isn’t the consequences of our own actions. It would appear that migrants are not, in fact, the fiscal drain we’ve been told they are by years if we go by the £4bn to £6.5bn shortfall that’s been caused by the precipitous drop in numbers under this government. Funny that.

Instead of the usual conservative, religious-coded topics that were the subject of the assemblies at my 80s grammar school, the sandal-wearing Latin teacher took the opportunity to go off on a massive pro-Marx rant when it was his turn.

We have specific legislation to deal with this. It's an offence to interfere with emergency services (which specifically includes the RNLI), and common assault (which includes threats) or worse of an emergency service worker carries double the sentence. Why are these fuckwits not all being charged?

It's literally a criminal offence to interfere with emergency services, which includes the RNLI. www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/39 Why are these utter fuckwits not all banged up the minute they put on their terrorist masks? With double the sentence - www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2018/2...

SAR is co-ordinated by the Coastguard, it can involve Coastguard vessels or helicopters, Coastguard volunteer teams, RNLI vessels, other emergency services, or even any nearby military or civilian vessel that could help.

My boss asked me if I used AI to do something, and my answer was "No, because I know what I'm doing and wanted it to be right." I manage CRM data and spend half my time now fixing things users have done with AI

Wow, impressive, any experience with other colours? I'm starting a new custom chapter and am deciding what colours to use. (On the greens, I like the left as a colour, but I think the right looks more suitable for the SoH)

Important: No Official Certification Required

The UK has no official government licence, certificate, or registration system for assistance dogs. You do not need paperwork to prove your dog is an assistance dog. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has made clear that owner-trained assistance dogs have exactly the same legal rights as dogs trained by major charities like Guide Dogs.

Voluntary registration (for example, through the Assistance Dog Registry UK) exists to help with public acceptance, but it is not legally required for your access rights to apply.

Problem is in the UK, there is no real way to prove a dog is or isn't an assistance dog other than the word of the owner. There's no central registry or approved training certification. "Owner-trained" assistance dogs are as legally valid as those trained by actual experts.

Add a decision node to your process - "Could an LLM do this better?", where every answer is "No"

theinvisiblethirdman @thirdmanuk.bsky.social · 05/08/2026
I spend hours batting away people trying to install LLM connectors on our CRM system. They require the user to have an insane level of permissions and access to data, that only an admin should get.

Threads post from kavishj611 that says

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but writing long-form content without AI feels like a big win to me these days.
I see so many people who won’t even write a few lines of email without AI anymore.
Writing is thinking, and I’m perplexed by how this behaviour could make humans dumber as AI continues to improve.

Theoretically it's a GDPR breach, publishing PII* data for profit without permission, even if it's taken in a public place. There is an exemption for public interest journalism, which is why all those far-right wankers call themselves "citizen journalists" (* Personally identifiable information)
