The Doctor is Rick from "Rick and Morty" and the Daleks are Minions. I think it's neat.
The first main promo image for 'TARDIS Crew', the BBC's new Doctor Who spin-off. It features a young version of the Doctor with blue, spiky hair alongside a series of dumpy, pill-shaped Daleks whose eyestalks have become massive single eyes.

I mean, if you actually removed the Mitchell and Webb sketches that worked and cut out the rest, you'd be left with about 20 minutes of material, surely?

It still amazes me how Supergrass were apparently once this massively important and totemic band when pop culture history has boiled their output down to one of the most obviously-One-Hit-Wonder-sounding songs of all time.

Watching Doctor Who: Silver Nemesis. I think the issue with it is that everyone is presented to us as a strategic genius and written as a fucking idiot, and the disjunct stops it being able to hit its dramatic beats.

I continue to be absolutely fascinated by how Dickinson and Keoghan are trying way too hard to look like Lennon and Starr, while Mescal and Quinn do not a give a fuck about whether they resemble McCartney or Harrison. Has anyone ever looked less like George Harrison than Joseph Quinn?

The ADHD child prefers going on days out with his family to being drugged up and watching screens? No shit Then the guy manages to frame "schools don't know how to deal with ADHD" as a reason not to medicate it The idea this moron appears to be struggling with is multiple things being true at once

My local council has been trying to buy a completely empty shopping center that's in the middle of the high street for years, but the owner refuses to sell because he makes more from having this functionally abandoned building on his property portfolio than the council could ever afford to give.

To split the baby in half here: Bluesky is horny, but not in a hot way. There’s a horny part of Bluesky but it’s offputting and most people try to ignore it, like a swinger’s resort in Florida that’s next to a retirement community.

Watching "Superman" (1978) and honestly, the thing that makes this the best Superman film is that you could cut Lex Luthor entirely and it'd still be a great film. It doesn't actually need a plot because it makes watching Superman stuff feel that satisfying.

My algorithm thinks I'm a female small business owner who speaks Spanish, Chinese and Punjabi. We really need to mainstream the fact that the algorithms which run our online lives are not just unhealthy, they aren't actually fit for their own purposes and do not work properly.

A recent trend in film reporting is that any blockbuster of sufficient size will only be discussed by media outlets trying to lead the backlash against it. Last year was "Superman", this year it's "The Odyssey". We're really just not meant to enjoy things anymore.

So Nolan's "The Odyssey" is about watching videos of the Palestine genocide and falling into despair. (I mean, not specifically that, but it is a story about realising that society is in decline after witnessing a massacre that you're culpable in, and whose final moral is "history repeats itself".)

A New York sculptor has been left furious after spending $100,000 of his own money to build a lifesize statue of Charlie Kirk, only to find that no one wants to buy it.
Sergio Furnari, originally from Italy, had hoped the statue of the deceased far-right activist, which he intends to display in Times Square, would raise "millions" of dollars. Instead, he said he has been inundated by messages from people saying they intend to urinate on the sculpture.
To add injury to insult, Furnari recently broke his foot working on the statue, after tripping over a roll of tape in his studio.
"Is it cursed? Maybe. I don't know," he told the Guardian.
