If you’re in the Bay Area you should either come to this reading during Lit Crawl with @charliejaneanders.com, @olivasthewriter.bsky.social and others or prepare to regret missing it forever

So often, opportunities for trans writers are focused around work
about transition, but no more! The amazing breadth and depth of insight trans people possess will be on display as five of the best trans writers in San Francisco share
fiction, non-fiction, and poetry on any topic except one.

I don’t particularly love travel, but wind up doing it for a few reasons: work, writerly opportunities, and most importantly because there are a lot of people who I want to see that don’t live where I do! I try not to worry about air safety like I try not to worry about car crash statistics
Why do you travel so much? You aren’t worried about all the declines in air safety?

I watch american football (evil) and also the nba and wnba. I think basketball is a perfect sport. If I had to play one, I’d love to pick up tennis again, though I suspect my knees would hate me for it
Do you watch or like any sports? What sport would you participate in if you had to?

it’s a big part of queer culture in general, and I think it’s natural that trans people, sometimes alienated from their bodies or possessing bodies that don’t optimally perform vanilla sex would seek other avenues for sex. massive oversimplification, of course
Why is kink such a huge part of trans culture?

I don’t think this one needed a re-evaluation, guys! I think “Nazi” covered it!
Riefenstahl spent a lifetime trying to disassociate herself from the Nazi leadership, but her complicity with Hitler is now uniquivocal, and no matter how artistically rendered, Triumph of the Will was used to fertilize the rise of the Third Reich. This Kino Classics release is part of an ambitious reevaluation of the filmmaker’s career, including the release of Andres Veiel’s award-winning documentary Riefenstahl, new restorations of her films (The Blue Light, Tiefland) and special editions of previously
