The Shoreline City Council is getting a report right now that showed that 27% of city residents have used bike or scooter share in the city and that 53% have a negative view of the program. Non-users "top concern" was safety, yet the city has reported no crashes during Lime's pilot period.

Due to crew shortages, which have been credited to an apparent engineer sick-out, multiple Washington State Ferries routes are not operating this morning including Seattle-Bainbridge and Seattle-Vashon Island. Others are on severely reduced schedules. Check for updates: wsdot.com/ferries/sche...

With data showing high demand for curb space in both Alaska Junction and Upper Queen Anne, a curbside pricing program is intended to help businesses by increasing parking turnover. That message isn't necessarily going over well in either neighborhood.

Update: on Friday a judge threw out the parts of the WA state sheriff's standards law that required sheriffs to meet the same basic standards that police chiefs must meet and didn't allow them to continue to serve after being decertified for misconduct. WA State is likely to appeal.

Next week the City of Kirkland is poised to advance a rebrand for the neighborhood around its forthcoming inline BRT station at I-405 and NE 85th St, as "the Rise District." Also in contention: the Forge District and the Union District.
