As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative

'The Witches Finger' Spent a long time here and got a lot of shots, some good, most bad but that comes with practice. A fascinating place that I'll definitely go back to in the winter for a different feel. #photography #canonphotography #dslr #lightroom #noai #photooftheday #amateurphotographer

All this AI shit makes me feel like there's an entire genre of people who resent having to think at all.

If I have to explain to you why it's a bad idea to use a machine that makes shit up 15-80% of the time AND destroys the environment AND contributes to rising fascism and genocide AND puts brilliant skillful creatives out of work by stealing their work, then we're already speaking different languages

You get older. In the end, you end up accepting everything in your life - suffering, horror, love, loss, hate - all of it. Harry Dean Stanton Photographer Wim Wenders, 1984.

if i can be y’all’s dad for a second: one of the most important things I’ve learned is that acquiring a skill is literally uncomfortable that awful moment where you feel confused and stupid and embarrassed? it means you’re about to learn something. and it’s *mandatory* if you want to get better

Snapped a great collection of shot from around this area, planning to post them gradually :) #photography #cemetery #blackandwhite

A wide shot of a cemetery filled with large trees and grey headstones scattered throughout in black and white.
A large tree is to the right with one of it's branches arching over all the way to the left.

A close up of the tope of a large leafless tree with it's branches overlapping and layering one over the other.

We're not ready for how eye-gougingly boring art is going to be under fascism. Like Disney removing the context of Lilo taking photos of white tourists in order to remove the critiques of colonialism sucks all the depth and humor out of the scene. It's so boring.

Last of some photos I took exploring an old seaside cemetery. #photography #cemetery #overgrown #headstone #graveyard #moss #mortality #bythesea #mine #edit

A grouping of old graves under a large tree.

An old stone grave overgrown with green vines growing around it with a holly bush growing to the side and around a rusted metal ornate fence.

David Lynch has had a profound affect on me as a person, never been hit so hard by an artists passing like his today, his work in art, film and music will inspire forever. An incredible light and the world is darker without him.

David Lynch stood staring into at the camera while a building is on fire behind him.
