I’ve made a whole two wiggly guys out of actual clay & am now fully convinced @roseschmits.bsky.social is a witch. I think I improved on the bigger one, but now that I’ve tried bending clay her tentacle pots are unfathomably impressive. #WeirdLittleGuys #Pottery

Two undulating pottery figures. In the back is a sort of fat worm with a bulbous head that has tiny yellow eyes with black pupils & a giant mouth with vampire teeth. It has swampy green, textured scales on the body, the head is lavender, & inside the mouth is red. In front is a smaller red figure that looks like a snake-y dragon with no back legs or wings, its eyes are white with black pupils. It is thinner & the body is more dramatically curved. Both look pretty stiff & the red one has some weird angles to its curves.

The same figures from a slightly different angle, you can see the larger one has a much shallow curve to its body as it slumped a bit in the kiln. Polymer clay figures of Moopsy & Bread Moopsy lurk in the background.

The further I get into PT, the more I’m realizing how breaking my toes in 2011 has utterly fucked up my entire body. Down to the #hEDS of course, but I’m also specifically mad at the Victorian architect’s terrible stair design & the modern landlord who used a 2x4 instead of a rounded railing post.

The fundamental test of birthright citizenship is this: if someone illegally trafficked people to this country and forced them into bondage and then those people had children, would those children have rights to object to continued servitude? If you answer isn't "yes, they have rights" you lose.

No idea where or when I started knitting this sock—some time between 2006 & 2011 I think? Luckily I remembered I was using this parttern: knitty.com/ISSUEsummer0.... We’ll see how much my gauge has changed in 15-20 years 😬.

A partially knit sock in plain stockinette,on bamboo DPNs, sitting on an open grid paper notebook. The toe is plum colored & the rest is a deep olive green. It’s about 7 inches long and the heal hasn’t been started yet.

Had the 1st of a month long pottery class this morning & the hardest part was getting used to it not being polymer clay. It starts drying out so fast! It’s so squishy! I can’t just shove a wire & aluminum foil in to hold things up! Managed to get two #WeirdLittleGuys mostly done though.

Had a strength training session last night for the 1st time following years of injuries & chronic illness. Trainer was a guy in 60’s who is also an Arborist and I was depressingly shocked not to get any comments about how this would help me lose weight, or how to weight train without bulking up.
