My Navigator friend lost his job recently and I didn’t know what to say to him. All I had to offer was platitudes and plongitudes.

This song is for all the haters that said I “don’t have chill vibes” Tbh, nobody’s ever said that about me, so this is a preemptive strike. hypeddit.com/thesleepingc...

If BC Rich made a Kenny Rogers signature model, I would probably buy it. #guitar

I wonder if there’s a group of people out there trying to advertise their meet-up group who likes to play chase after smoking concentrated weed resin. I don’t imagine # hashtag gets the reach they are hoping for.

I’m painting the outside of my house today. I feel my karate skills growing exponetially.

I had a dream I worked in the same office as Michael Jordan and Jamiroquai, and I kept falling asleep every time they tried to offer me advice. Wtf

It’s important to riff your partners bits. Take that any way you want to.

🚨PSA🚨 “Bandcamp Friday” is the number one way to support indie artists…unless you know them well enough to just hand them ca$h. And a cheese danish. And cup of coffee. And an Electro-Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator Pedal. Probably just easier to support them on Bandcamp. 🎶May 2, 2025🎶

Still just dipping our toes in here on BlueSky but wanted to pop in to announce the arrival of Tattoo, an EP tracking the cycles of a long relationship, loss, and the attendant grief. Poured my heart into this one. I hope it’ll find the folks with whom it will resonate. (Grammar!)

I’m so so stoked about the new EP artwork. I’m half Belgian, so I wanted to have fun with the ubiquitous Lions (Belgium is steeped in them). My artist turned every whim I had into reality, and now I have THIS! First single scheduled for May 1st! 🎉

Doing some solo Tom work this morning. This *should* be the last thing that’s needed for the 5th song on the upcoming EP 🤞

Do you think Merle Haggard ever listened to No Doubt and changed the lyrics? 🎶I’m just a Merle, oh little ol me Well don’t let me out of your sight Well I’m just a Merle, all pretty and petite … 🎶

WTF is this??? 😂 For reference, this is the view of my last full album, I’m not a paying Spotify customer…but I am insanely curious what this means.

If our democracy does fail, I wonder if the person at Bojangles who decided to send me a physical mailer announcing their new ‘Chicken & Bo-berry Waffles’ will reflect and be like…yeah, that was bad timing…

I’m trying to come up with a joke where the punchline is “it’s not funny if you have to explain it”. You see it would be funny because it’s super meta and self-referential.

When the Recording Academy announced the new category of “Best Ambient Feedback in a The Sleeping Cliffs Song” I got my hopes up. I really thought I had a shot. Anyway, congratulations Andre 3000, well played.

As some of you may have noticed, I am no longer black and white. I now come in many shades (but primarily blues, greens, and browns)

I bought some presents recently and mentioned to the clerk that it was for my wife’s birthday. He said he could put a bow on it at no extra cost and we picked out some nice decorative paper and everything. While I was waiting a BANGIN song came on. I asked what it was. He said it was wrap music.

WIP: I spent the morning writing and recording a #guitar solo for a song on the new album. I’m not fast and I’m not super technical, I just like to play. I also don’t usually make traditional solos a focus of my music, but I am pretty proud of how this is turning out. 🎸

Starting a new musical improv project that focuses on unstructured spotenaiety. I’m torn between calling it “Risk Averse” or “Abundance of Caution”. Might take me a few weeks of weighing the pros and cons of each to decide 🧐
