The only silver lining rn is CPUs and motherboards are priced reasonably normally, like I paid $510 for my Ryzen 9800X3D in April 2025 and it's $450 now. As far as the GPU... I can do nothing but pray for us both 😅

I'm very glad I did my partial rebuild in April 2025 (new case, CPU, RAM upped to 64GB, M.2 SSD upped to 2TB) cuz I priced those parts out now for shits and giggles and about had an aneurysm. The 3080Ti in it is still exceeding my needs and I pray it will for the foreseeable future 😅

Fun fact: Hair discrimination is specifically illegal in these states. A bill called the CROWN Act to codify those protections federally passed the House in 2022 but didn't get a vote in the Senate. Your employer isn't in one of these states, so this was just a good HR move they chose to do.
