I'm afraid you are mistaken, Hero. Allow me to demonstrate, with the help of quadrants.

A set of four quadrants - hot horror, wet horror, cold horror, dry horror.

Sunshine (2007) is hot and mostly dry.
The Ruins (2008) is hot and wet.
The Shining Shining is cold and mostly dry (sure, there’s that elevator filled with blood, but what happens when it congeals?)
The Terror is cold horror (obviously), but it is also mostly wet horror:
The Arctic Ocean is somewhat involved (wet).
Gunky meat and plentiful gore (wet)
Alcoholism (wet, then trending to dry; let’s call this one even)
Lots of shipping (big wet sloppy kisses)

Looking through the @thesiltverses.bsky.social Q&A transcript for the title of something I want to check out, I snorted at the unintentional tonal whiplash of this segue. I can’t even claim the comedic timing, it didn’t even register in the moment because that was *hand wave* all of it.
