Their demands are clear: an immediate ban on ICE/CBP from all future recruitment fairs, formal policy requiring judicial warrant for any fed immigration enforcement on campus, & public reaffirmation of NMSU as a sanctuary for all workers/students. @nmsu-sports.bsky.social do the right thing.

Proud to stand w/NMSU students today who are demanding that my alma mater, live up to its promise as an HSI/Land Grant uni. These students are our legacy: first generation, children of immigrants, Black and Brown students, who chose New Mexico State, because they believed it would protect them.

7,155 New Mexicans demanded to be heard and NMED is now recommending a public hearing on the Project Jupiter air quality permits!! This is what organizing looks like, y’all 💪🏽 But we’re not done. A hearing recommendation is not a hearing, and a hearing is not a denial of permits.

For background, I listen in to a French sports radio station doing commentary on the race. I don’t speak the language, but it’s kinda poetic. The American ads are a bummer when they pop up sporadically, but the passion in the French commentators really add to the the drama, and pretty worth it.
