The amount of people twitchy and I had coming into the Megaplex daycare room, looking around, and literally going “this isn’t what I heard it was” was mind-blowing. A big portion of our lead duties this year was just giving an overview of what daycare was and (successfully) dispelling rumors.

Kobold Artificer has achieved manual flight!

A blue kobold artificer wearing a pair of googles and many pouches, is flying through a flock of birds using a pair of manually-powered wood-and-canvas wings. A steel-wire pulley system connects the handles he's holding to the flying apparatus strapped to his back. The kobold looks as elated as the birds look confused.

My biggest problem with the concept of LLMs, even if they weren’t a giant plagiarism laundering machine and disaster for the environment, is that they introduce so much unpredictability into computing. I became a professional computer toucher because they do exactly what you tell them to. Not always what you wanted, but exactly what you asked for.

LLMs turn that upside down. They turn a very autistic do-what-you-say, say-what-you-mean commmunication style with the machine into a neurotypical conversation talking around the issue, but never directly addressing the substance of problem.

In any conversation I have with a person, I’m modeling their understanding of the topic at hand, trying to tailor my communication style to their needs. The same applies to programming languages and frameworks. If you work with a language the way its author intended it goes a lot easier.

But LLMs don’t have an understanding of the conversation. There is no intent. It’s just a mostly-likely-next-word generator on steroids. You’re trying to give directions to a lossily compressed copy of the entire works of human writing. There is no mind to model, and no predictability to the output.

If I wanted to spend my time communicating in a superficial, neurotypical style my autistic ass certainly wouldn’t have gone into computering. LLMs are the final act of the finance bros and capitalists wrestling modern technology away from the technically literate proletariat who built it.

The book cover of "Dragonborn" by Struan Murray features a girl standing in a swirl of smoke in front of a fierce red dragon. The dragon and girl both have glowing pale yellow eyes. The dragon has stripes, open wings, and many horns. It perches on a boulder. The girl has pale skin and dark hair. She wears a white T shirt and navy shorts.

not to keep expressing boundaries via ridiculous comics

a panel-less comic featuring a non-descript cat character on the left (meant to represent the aggregate of my viewers), and my fursona Lobo on the right. Each situation has the cat completely the same, holding up a drawing with a smiling expression while giving a different form of compliment, while Lobo responds differently to each one.

1st scene- Cat: "Hey, I love this art and find it super hot. Here's the various visual aspects of it I enjoy! (ie composition, anatomy, colors, themes, etc)
Lobo, with its paws held together and a flattered, happy expression: "Aww, thank you!! Super appreciate hearing it!!"

2nd scene- Cat: "This particular art helped me articulate what I desire from kink play so I got to experiment with myself/my partners in a way that helped me feel more seen!"
Lobo, smiling and leaning forward with interest: "That's so awesome!!! I'm so happy I could help facilitate a safe environment for you to discover more about yourself and your kinks!"

3rd scene- Cat: "This art makes me want to have sex with my idealized version of you and I'm going to tell you about my fantasies in excruciating detail completely disregarding your personal boundaries."
Lobo, averting its eyes with its paws up, leaning away: "Please do not do that"

I saw this YCH and just *had* to have it! She has a folder of always-open YCH offerings which I wish more artists would do. 🥰 🦨: @therinm.bsky.social 🖍: www.furaffinity.net/user/babystar/ 👤: www.furaffinity.net/view/64130462/ #furry #furryart #ageplay #abdl #abdlart #diaper #wetdiaper

Digital ABDL art with two panels featuring an adult male anthropomorphic skunk wearing a lavender-colored t-shirt and a plain white diaper. In the first panel, he is crouched down low and has his middle finger extended toward the viewer. His expression is defiant. A text bubble from him says, "Yeah, I'm a kidfur. Yeah, I like diapers. You got a problem with that I say F-". The second panel shows the same skunk seated on a colorful rug with a couple of toy blocks on the floor in front of him. There are vertical bars in the background suggesting he is in a playpen. His arms are folded across his chest and his expression is both pouting and embarrassed. There is a pacifier in his muzzle that is held in place with a strap around his head, like a gag. His hands and feet have baby mitts and booties on them respectively. A text bubble from outside the panel says, "Now, Poppet, whilst the sentiment to your statement wasn't wrong, you know we don't use bad language in this household. Now be a good boy and play with your blocks."
