These little redbreasted nuthatches keep an eye on me when I'm gardening and will land on my hands while I'm refilling the feeders—and if a big scary bird is nearby, the nuthatches will only brave the feeders if Big Friend (me) is there to keep watch.🥺🪶

As a writer-artist: NEVER. Hell, I even quit an art direction job because I prefer to draw my own ideas. Last year with my GN thumbs, I leveled up. The images in my head poured onto the page and I've never felt so powerful. AI cannot match the mind's eye of a control freak.

Gods this is so real. Realism is a technical still, sure! It shows your understanding of a medium, of light, or the ability to copy a photo. But it's not everything. It's not the ONLY thing. You can make amazing non-realistic art. You can make amazing stylized art. Cute, funky, weird, great art.

Hen and Wren. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.

Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen and a Wren regarding each other quizzically. Pussywillow-Tailed Cats - 2024 [ #art #illustration #botanicats ]

The spring stems of the pussywillow plant. The flowers are puffy and white and line the stems like pompoms. Amongst the flowers are tiny cats of the same colors who have tails that mimic the pussywillow flowers perfectly.

Another hot tip for saving money: You can refill your Micron (or similar) pens when they dry up. There are several YouTube videos, but basically pop the end off, shake out the sponge-tube, drip whatever ink you like into the sponge slowly until it's wet through, then re-assemble. Voila! Like new!

I know the bird is just lifting one foot to warm it up, but in my head it's tapping its claws like people tapping their fingers while waiting. 😂 And in this case it had been nearly three whole minutes since the last peanut. #birds
