There's a reason us olds always say to have your own webcomic site and only mirror on hosting sites for extra reach. But I really feel for people whose comics found their audience, or their income, on Tapas. You don't get to choose where your work resonates. Fewer options=bad. Webtoon monopoly=bad.

Got my Bartz v Anthropic email, and I'm at least glad DSP didn't try to claim the books I took back. I've heard a few horror stories about other publishers being their worst possible selves. (I uploaded my rights reversions upfront, though. I'd HOPE that would've prevented issues, but who knows.)

For people worrying that turning off reposts will hurt artists' reach: 1. I'll spend more time scrolling here now that I can turn off rps of people who mostly boost politics/hot takes. 2. Some people self-rp a LOT and bury quieter artists. Now I can see the quiet artists AND unmute the loud ones.
