Finally using {pins} #rstats package to share heavy files that can't be shared among collaborators through GitHub, and it works like a breeze! Supports data versioning, cache, etc. Thanks @posit.co Here using Google Drive to share files, but can use many different servers, see pins.rstudio.com

The first student in my lab group successfully defended their graduate work today! Many congrats to Iona Rohan (coadvised by @jenniferfrey.bsky.social) for her MS work analyzing the effects of wind energy on the habitat use of terrestrial mammals in central NM. Stay tuned for our findings!

Population/community ecologist asst prof here-- largely working on bats in deserts, but other species too: long-distance movements of migratory nectar-feeding bats, bottom-up and top-down effects of vegetation change on insectivorous bat food webs, and wind energy impacts on terrestrial mammals.
