Spent the weekend in Derby for the Edge-Lit spec fic festival. Did some decent thrifting and spent loads of time with these absolute legends. @mrlovelyday.bsky.social @meanerharker.bsky.social and @sjtownend.bsky.social I was inspired, invigorated, and laughed so much. Trash Family are the best 💜

I was so pleased to be published by @flashficfestuk.bsky.social in their festival anthology volume eight. It's packed with stellar writers. I just want it to be known that my story has been printed incomplete. For anyone reading the book, my story is missing the final 100 words. 1/2

I can honestly say it's the worst thing that's happened to me as a writer. What's in that book, that no doubt many people have and are reading, is not my story. It makes no sense without the final section. I'd rather it wasn't in there at all. I appreciate you replying and will await further info.

Was lucky enough to do some guest reading for this call, and sweet baby Jesus up a tree, what a selection. Silvery lichen and scarlet waxcaps; taproots and daisy chains; ferns, herbs and heathland marsh. All rolled up into folklore, domestic drama and dystopia. And a wee bit of murder.
