Revisiting our mural at Old Dominion Univeristy.This is a milestone for all of us as it marks the first exterior mural on campus honoring the contributions of Filipino Americans in Hampton Roads. The mural serves as a permanent public acknowledgment of our history, labor, and cultural presence within the university landscape, addressing longstanding gaps in representation and visibility.The project is led by Dr. Luisa Igloria, Poet Laureate of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is developed in collaboration with the Filipino American community in Hampton Roads.
