#ZombieSkullTober DAY 01 It's on 11x17 (BIG), so what I'm gonna do is noodle away on this till it's full (and RUINED) and then start something else. A PLAN!

I don't know that I'll do many new drawings for #tokentober, but where I already have one done, I'll share them.

A trio of construct tokens, each drawn in a 1" square. The first is triangular in shape and has a spade and 3 cameras. The second os a square and has hooks on each side from which are suspended bags. The third is a spherical unicycle with sledgehammer arms.

69/75 Having already shown the Reaper's Talisman, and how it's been "equipped," I wanted to show it's effect. I've interpreted deathtouch here as a fast-acting decay. You're harder to track as an assassin if you leave no bodies in your wake.

Reaper's Talisman. As if in first person perspective, we see the left hand of a person pressed to the chest of another. Rapid decay has taken effect, coring a hole in the torso of the other figure. Black fabric is blown back, pale flesh is visible, with a dark rot spreading across it. Beneath that, we can see a ring of muscle, which has already given way to show the spine and rib cage beneath.

Faux museum style Jet Medallion. This was for @davyfjones.bsky.social, so the piece of jet is in a goblin's mouth.

Black and white drawing. Set on a black cushion which extends beyond the frame in all directions is a skull with large eye sockets a small nose and a few missing teeth. In the jaws is a long piece of raw jet. From thd top of the skull is a metal clasp the connects it to a chain. The card's name, cost, artist credit, and rules text are all formatted as if they are on the display card at a museum. Also included are the materials for the object, unworked jet, bone, silver. And the year 1997, representing the card's first printing.

68/75 Last minute change up on the deck list is bringing in two Reaper's Talisman in place of two Devastation Tide. I figure a talented shapeshifter can sneak all kindsa trinkets in this manner.

67/75 The Polluted Delta series was pretty tricky for me, but it's finally done. This one is, I think, a better composition than the other 3, even if the value balance isn't as strong as I'd like.

The convention of "named character is legendary" sucks. Legends at common/uncommon kinda sucks, but is somewhat defensible. The solution (IMO) would be to have two super types; Unique and Legendary.

66/75 This one really suffers for not having used multiple references, but I was not really ever going to spend a lot of time on all that architecture. I hope this reads as a Ravnican river district.

Polluted Delta proxy in grey marker, black ink and white gel pens. There's a large, central building with tall towers at the end of a bridge in the middle of a river. The entire landscape is covered in the hints of dense and tall buildings. The river that flows around and through becomes dark as it travels from the background to the foreground.
