[ #Metroid ] Got into playing Metroid Dread Randomizers the other day (in hype for #MetroidRavenous next year), and the first seed I generated ended as a dead game because of a Soft Lock I corrected about 6 hours earlier in the run. Made this reaction image immediately after that realization.

[ #Metroid ] ~~~ One, Two, Three, Four, Five. ~~~ Depending on what News we get during the #NintendoDirect later, I may need to make an addendum to this series of renders. No expectations and all that of course, but hey, fingers crossed.

[ #Metroid ] It occurs to me I should probably be more active on Social Media outside of reposts and likes, so here's a look at some of the work I've been doing in Blender with both #SamusAran and #JustinBailey, featuring a fully modeled Justin Bailey Zero Suit Form.

Wait, when the focus was Taco Bell, the media were using photos of the Taco Bell logo. Now we know it’s Taylor Farms and we’re using a photo of a head of lettuce? Here, use this

So here is an example of an annotated bibliography from Christine Redfern and Caro Caron's biocomic Who Is Ana Mendieta?

A comic page with the headline blind spot and before our days annotated bibliography. The are images from the comics narrative with textual info about where the info is from.

[ #TheAmazingDigitalCircus, #TADC ] [[ SPOILERS ]] Gooseworx may have just made the best allegory for a Trauma-based, Support-less Identity Death Spiral in modern media, and all it took was the revelation of The Amazing Digital Closet.

[ #Metroid, #JustinBailey ] Still experimenting with the dithered shadow style I tried out last week; this time with a dithered lighting shine/streak to compliment some of the leftover color area. Slowly but surely, I’m chipping away at this reference sheet.

Style practice for Metroid OC Justin Bailey’s Power Suit, based on a dithered shadow concept from the other day.

[ #Metroid ] Been doing some Style Practice over the last few days. Ft. #JustinBailey, a new OC related to her story, a Young-Old Man, a Mysterious Woman™, and the closest thing to a human asshole I can draw without being explicit.

Stylized & Colorized Bust Artwork of Metroid OC Justin Bailey.

Stylized & Colorized Bust Artwork of new, supporting OC Maaze Ish’taal.

Stylized & Colorized Bust Artwork of one character, and a Colorized Full-Body sketch of another character.

[ #Metroid ] Some more practice artwork from the last few days, featuring a concept “scene” of Bailey first donning her Power Suit, “Zoot-mus”, as well as a short little doodle comic revolving around the hypothetical first meeting between #SamusAran and #JustinBailey.

“As for me, one life ended… yet I survived, reborn as something different.”

(Shortly after their first meeting/Bailey’s initial confrontation with Samud, and following Bailey getting kicked so hard in the chest she nearly shits a rib, and the metal plate it broke against.)
—
S: “Fine. I warned you. If you won’t give up the suit willingly--”
*Samus throws off her trench coat/disguise, revealing her familiar Casual Attire underneath.*
S: “--Then I’ll just have to take it from you by force.”
(Bailey stares up at Samus from the ground, having been knocked prone from the earlier hit she took.)
B: “…”
S: ”…”
B: “…”
B: “…Why were you wearing a wrestler costume under that?”
S: “SHUT UP, IT LOOKS COOL!!!”

Wario forgot the key to the Treasure Chest and immediately keeled over sick.

Corrupt Despot #DonaldTrump and his Administration 8647 #NoKings #Indivisible #BlueCrew #VoteBlue

A stark, almost surreal political cartoon fills the frame. In the upper left corner, the words “It’s Time…” appear in plain black text, setting a dramatic and ominous tone. Dominating the image is an enormous, greenish Statue of Liberty-like figure, shown in a close, cropped view so that only part of the crowned head and face are visible. The expression is stern and watchful, with heavy shading giving the face a carved, weathered look.

The giant hand is the most striking element: it stretches across the center of the image, with one finger and thumb forming an “OK” or pinching gesture, as if delicately but deliberately controlling something far below. Near the bottom center stands a tiny man in a suit, dwarfed by the massive hand and face above him. He appears insignificant in comparison, almost like a pawn or a toy beneath the power of the colossal figure. Another large green hand enters from the lower right edge, reinforcing the sense of overwhelming scale and control.

The overall style is editorial and symbolic, using exaggerated proportions and sparse background detail to create a feeling of pressure, authority, and imbalance. The image suggests a commentary on power, influence, or manipulation, with the small human figure made to seem helpless beneath the towering presence above.

"The Switch is so old," you all said. "I need better graphics," you demanded. "Wah wah," you cried. And now, you sit here before Slippy Toad, the slippiest he's ever been, slippier than a fucking banana peel under a kart wheel, all thanks to the raw power of the Nintendo Switch 2—and you reject him?

I do think some people are being babies about how negatively they’re reacting to the new #StarFox designs, if I’m being honest. I’ll admit, they are jarring at first, but ultimately? They’re better in motion than I would expect. Looking forward to more cutscenes or previews as Nintendo shows them.
