Recycling previous art for today's #KOFtober prompt because I sprained my thumb and have nothing new day six: Favourite Female Character. To the surprise of no one, it's a tie between these dorks. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #BlueMary #UltimateBrotp #TotallyPlatonicLadyBros #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King and Blue Mary standing side by side, looking at each other and posing. Behind them is a pastel gradient background with words such as, "Wonderful," "Great," "Cool," and a bunch of other positive adjectives. Because BESTIES.

I know we are entering new worlds of psychological damage, but I don't think anyone was ready for the mental toll of "you can literally never be excited or afford anything ever again"

For the life of me, I cannot believe we've reached the point of decline in which people think something like gang rape is actually up for debate. Soulless ghouls, every last one of them.

Also shows how... selective fandom shit can be. Fandom A) We want art of this character but we wanna see it from only the biggest, most popular artists, and not from you. Fandom B ) Holy shit, some good, fresh food!!!!

INCREDIBLY happy to see my homegirl finally getting some flowers for her artwork, but it also cements why so many people haven't really migrated to this platform. Nearly 3K Likes over there versus, like... twenty-something here. It's such a stark difference that I can barely wrap my head around it.

It's not new, but for #Koftober 5th(Character that *SHOULD* be in COTW), heres Organ Trail which I scribbled earlier this year. It is a little, very sort of '80s-90s Horror Serial Inspired' story about how Freeman survived the gunshot, since they never told us. archiveofourown.org/works/85223931

Drunk-ass Mary lying in the road after a night out, because where else is she gonna take a nice nap? 😅 #KOF #KingofFighters #FatalFury #BlueMary #TerryBogard #HisFeetAnyway #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

Mary, drunk as shit, is lying in the road with a huge smile on her face. Terry's shoes are visible in the upper right corner. This is based on a photograph of someone I actually know who drunkenly decided that, yes, lying down on the ground downtown was a great idea.

A companion piece to the drunk Mary I did (and reposted not too long ago): possibly drunker King, with mostly sober Yuri. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #YuriSakazaki #TerryBogard #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

Yuri, in an orange hoodie and wide denim capris, is trying to pull King, who is rather disheveled and grinning wildly with a majorly flushed face, off the ground. Out of frame, Terry (who can be seen in chibi form) is asking, "Hey, can King help get Mary off the ground?!" referring to another piece depicting Mary face down on a sidewalk. Yuri is saying, "Uh, she's not doing much better herself, man!" as King shouts, "THERE'S SO MANY SOUNDS!!!!"

Special thanks to TrueRef and drunk Lewis Pullman

Sofa rotting after a particularly heinous loss (iykyk). Btw, the pic of Mary on the phone screen was drawn by the always amazing @martinag.bsky.social. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #ArtofFighting #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

An injured King lies facedown on her sofa with a bottle of wine and her cellphone, which displays a photo of Mary drawn by ManaChan, on the coffee table. There are music notes indicating that the phone is ringing. Also, for funsies, Mary's ringtone is Killer Queen -- by Queen. Illustrated by thelexhex/illyrilex. Let books be. Today kicks off #BannedBooksWeek, an annual observation started more than 40 years ago in response to a sudden surge in attempts to censor or remove books in libraries, schools, and bookstores. Sound familiar? Find ways to get involved and spread the word: bit.ly/4yvixbB.

LET BOOKS BE. Various line drawings related to libraries and books, including a hand holding a sign made of an open book that reads "Freed for ALL to Read," a tote bag that reads "Totes Resist" carrying a book, a full book cart with the head and tale of a horse with text that reads "A Wild Ride," and a closeup of two feet standing on a stack of books that say "A Soap Box" on their spines. Text at bottom reads "Protect the freedom to read. Banned Books Week, October 4-10, 2026." American Library Association. ala.org/bbooks

So, I appear to have sprained my thumb — on my dominant hand because of course. Of course! On the plus side, I can still hold a pencil and type (obviously) so there's that, but I think the art grind is now DEFINITELY gonna slow to a crawl for a bit while I heal up.

[Repost?] I don't remember if I've ever put this here in its own post as opposed to part of some kind of compilation but, anyway, here's an old piece featuring a drunken King yelling obscenities at K' while bestie inwardly dies a little. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #BlueMary #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King and Blue Mary, as per usual. Mary is whistling and carring a drunken King, who is yelling at K', "I will kick your pancreas straight out of your body you surly motherfucker," is holding her middle finger up while kicking her legs.
