Recycling previous art for today's #KOFtober prompt because I sprained my thumb and have nothing new day six: Favourite Female Character. To the surprise of no one, it's a tie between these dorks. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #BlueMary #UltimateBrotp #TotallyPlatonicLadyBros #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King and Blue Mary standing side by side, looking at each other and posing. Behind them is a pastel gradient background with words such as, "Wonderful," "Great," "Cool," and a bunch of other positive adjectives. Because BESTIES.

It's not new, but for #Koftober 5th(Character that *SHOULD* be in COTW), heres Organ Trail which I scribbled earlier this year. It is a little, very sort of '80s-90s Horror Serial Inspired' story about how Freeman survived the gunshot, since they never told us. archiveofourown.org/works/85223931

King in house clothes with her faithful companion 💕 Shoutout to @adorkastock.com for the reference pose~ *See alt text for some notes #KOF #KingofFighters #ArtofFighting #King #Marron #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King sitting criss-cross on beige-carpeted floor, happily cradling a brown tabby-patterned cat (Marron) in her arms. Idgaf that SNK's social media people decided that the white cat in the old-ass Art of Fighting pic by Eiji Shiroi is Marron; that pic predates the existence of the cat by YEARS. Also, Marron literally means brown. Shoutout to AdorkaStock for the pose ref.

Still haven't written much(I write when I feel it-if I don't, I don't force things. forced writing, from experience, ends up obvious. would rather one fun piece a year than a bunch of forced) but if you are curious about a 'what if' on Freeman post MotW, see post below! (pic by the great Mana!)

Artwork of Freeman, from Fatal Fury, obviously just having torn some poor bastard limb from limb

King being annoyed in French, while Mary is just kind of along for the ride. Not pictured: exasperated sighing, lip farting, and tutting. #KOF #KingofFighters #King #BlueMary #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King is standing in her burgundy tuxedo with her arms crossed and rolling her eyes. Surrounding her are little French flags with the words and phrases, "ROH LA LA," "Fait chier" "C'est pas possible," "Merde," and "Putain." On the lower left is a little window showing a chibi Mary, who is smiling nervously and saying, "Please excuse Bestie's unfortunate condition. She can't help it."

King and Blue Mary out shopping after tournament fights and wins. Both are covered in injuries and dirt. King is smashed into the cart, surrounded by items while Mary pushes and they’re both smiling. Gods I’m tired.

Sometimes the state of the world will drive even the most sophisticated person to put on comfy (but lowkey ridiculous) pajamas and get drunk by themself on a random Tuesday. #KOF #KingofFighters #ArtofFighting #King #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

King from Art of Fighting and King of Fighters laying on her sofa, wearing a lavender and purple cat onesie, holding a bottle of wine in her hand, face flushed from being drunk, with several bubbles around her that read "Economy," "AI deepfakes," "Politics," and "Bla bla bla horrible news story, horrible news story, horrible news story bla bla bla." Projecting? Me? No way.

#KOFtober prompt no.30: Magic Mai is over here living her best life in her Zatanna cosplay 🪄 #KOF #KingofFighters #King #MaiShiranui #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

Mai Shiranui, dressed up as DC Comics' Zatanna (just with an alternate colour scheme), is holding a top hat that has an unbeknownst to her flaming rabbit in it and yelling ta-da. In her other hand is her fan, which is a makeshift magic wand or whatever. In the lower left corner is a chibi King, who is holding a fire extinguisher and yelling, "Mai!! The rabbig is on fucking FIRE!!"

I hc that Mary's musical taste is basically the Peacemaker soundtrack, and there's a song on it that's so ridiculous that I felt it was my duty to doodle her singing it. It's by Steel Panther and those are the real lyrics. #KOF #KingofFighters #FatalFury #BlueMary #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

Blue Mary throwing her head back and singing Steel Panther's Fucking My Heart in the Ass. There are musical notes around her, and she's holding a mic in one hand and the stand in the other while singing/yelling "Gotta stop fucking, gotta stop fucking/ fucking my heart in the ass/ Won't you please stop fucking my heart in the ass, whoa-oh"

She is delighted. Also, her shirt says "Take me out to the ballgame"

Illustrated by thelexhex/illyrilex because I'm the only one unhinged enough to do something like this.

Today's #KOFtober prompt is "Redesign an SNK character," which is basically all I do (when I'm not emotionally torturing them). Credit to @malaguetasccp.bsky.social for the existing Mai and King mods! #KOF #KingofFighters #King #MaiShiranui #BlueMary #AlwaysCreditTheArtist

Collage of thelexhex/illyrilex's redesigns of King, Blue Mary, and Mai from KOF, Art of Fighting, and Fatal Fury, along with a couple of shots of CachorroViolinsta's mods from KOF XV and COTW based on said redesigns (where applicable because no thelexhex Mary mods exist). King's cursed MLS outfit is also a mod that doesn't exist but is there because that was one of my first alternate designs for her.
