Definitely an issue with a lot of the new tropes in litrpg and derived from litrpg, especially anything with "dungeons" where monsters are literally created magically for some reason, and like ... the purpose of monsters is for people to kill them and harvest them. its... very weird at times

his took about 15 minutes. and would honestly have taken about the same amount of time if he had done the database query I had asked for. mine took about an hour. and when we compared them, I found five different false positives in his data that would have screwed our client over if I used it

I had a programmer I work with insistent that something I was asking him to do with a database query, I could have done by copy and pasting the data I did have into farting cat. I said no. he ran it that way, i did it manually the hard way in excel.

Marketing and especially trying to hit rising stars if you're doing Royal Road is definitely a good reason for a buffer, but ive found over the years that some writers ( ymmv) find they get a LOT of energy to keep writing from having started putting it out there and getting reader feedback
