Modern lens in what way? Chrono Cross was doing the whole accent thing back then and there was definitely stuff in the London translation that wouldn't have been left in if it was for "modern audiences". I assume bruv is just a translation of aniki to sound as british as possible.

One aspect of the London Seirei translation that was tough to deal with was how they handled heavily accented characters. There would often be German words mixed with accented english. I don't know how the original japanese was, but this dialogue constantly showing up was annoying to read lmao.

Yes, it's this. FFT hacks are also a pain in the ass to set up because you need to use an older emulator for it to not crash. I'm currently using PCSXR and it manages to crash every 20 minutes while idling lol.

This also means P2 can just use one of the few weapons without the built in delay and just get perfect tracking that you have to work harder to dodge.

The tracking is also a bit weird in that it favours one side horizontally depending on the weapon used: eg if the target moves to your left it will track worse, causing shots to miss more. In PvP P2 doesn't have the built in delay, making their tracking more accurate by 1f, which is a huge imbalance

Learning a bit more about why weapons in PS1 Armored Core never fucking hit: Player 1 has a 1 frame firing delay, causing tracking to lag 1f behind target movement. Most weapons in the game also have 1 frame delay added to that. This doesn't seem so bad until you realize the game runs at 22 FPS.
