Economics aside, the scrub-jay is just a pretty endearing bird. It's smart, curious and so friendly that it'll sometimes eat from your hand or land on your head. The Florida House of Representatives even cast a near-unanimous vote just a few weeks ago to recognize the scrub-jay as an official state bird. (The bill didn't cross the finish line, though, as the Legislature was in general disarray, unable to even pass a budget.)

Reuters from March of this year as the regime purged the FBI AND ended the surveillance on the watchlist groups.

The FBI stepped up its focus on domestic terrorism following the killing of a counter protester at a 2017 white-nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters locked those efforts into high gear.

The FBI said in a 2023 report that it had about 2,700 active domestic terrorism investigations, about half of which were related to the Capitol riot, up from roughly 1,000 in 2020.

That report identified white supremacists as posing the most consistent threat, though FBI officials have warned that violent extremists are often motivated by a mix of ideologies.

Is this hopium? I'm cautiously optimistic as someone who has been burned by Fetterman and his about-face. But dammit, I want to believe.

Platner's campaign only becomes an insurgency against Susan Collins if he first survives the Democratic establishment. His pointed critiques of party inaction have already set the tone. His candidacy isn't just about beating Republicans, it's about forcing Democrats to do more than fundraise off of their failures.

"I've not gotten a single phone call from anybody in the Democratic Party outside of the state of Maine. Nobody's followed up with me from DC. Nobody's reached out. Nothing," he says. "Which I take as a compliment."

Something is happening 🙏 this was a hopeful read on a Sunday night.

Another picketer, a 63-year-old retired physicist whose resume includes a stint at the government's Los Alamos lab, and who like several others didn't want his name used in a time of rising authoritarianism, said Musk and Trump "want a cultural revolution to destroy education and science...to start with." Let me reiterate: I do not approve of the mayor locking the doors of the mall and igniting a bus full of C4 in the food court. I may have worn a shirt that said, 'Vote for the Major who will blow up the mall food court,' but that was just my fun way of saying I only cared about the bowling alley. It makes me sad that you think I wanted people to get hurt by this. Especially when it's something that directly affected me for the first time in my life, when my nephew was accidentally trapped in that mall when it exploded. Give me a little grace here. Plus, my nephew voted for the other candidate, so it's kind of his fault that he ended up there to begin with.

I mean, Gen X had a 9 point swing to Trump this election...not a great look.

The youngest voters and those entering middle age tacked hard to the right. Gen X - which slightly favored president-elect Donald Trump with a one point margin in 2020 - shifted 9 points toward Trump this cycle. Gen Z favored Vice President Kamala Harris by 11 points, compared to 24 points for President Joe Biden.

🚨🚨🚨 this is a threat to nonprofits at large. Any environmental, human rights, reproductive care, immigrant/refugee, LGBTQ groups would have a 🎯 on them under this admin.
