kinda fucked up that Larry Fink, CEO of Blackrock, is a free man when he orchestrated the 2008 economic collapse and is currently orchestrating the data center boom/bust that will ruin the economy again

you should voluntarily recognize your workers' desire to unionize

the story was excellent the cards are fun and complex Way of the Mentor and Way of the Healer appear to have their art and rules text swapped imo

call me a radical, but I think people should shut up and read books more often

010

THE Joe Chaney @thejoechaney.bsky.social · 7h

it's definitely getting increasingly more difficult to engage with hobbies when the company doesn't respect the people who make/enjoy the game Wizards of the Coast please acknowledge the union

Wizards of the Coast is anti-union, overworks employees, steals art, and promotes AI

Mutate was simultaneously *too much* and *not enough* of a mechanic imo

THE Joe Chaney @thejoechaney.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

maybe a stretch, but it could also be the USS Constellation?

THE Joe Chaney @thejoechaney.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

I think the Spacecraft with the same name as a mechanic is gonna be the Defiant

THE Joe Chaney @thejoechaney.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

wow, this is a bad post from a WotC rep. the "upper limit" is already met by the infrastructure! the printers can not keep up with demand, the employees are burned out to and unionizing, content creators are begging you to slow down this is a very bad statement at a very inopportune time for WotC

Magic: the Gathering fans, the DUALITY DISTORTED Secret Lair was revealed at last with a new card by Yours Truly. The art order was a black magic version of Brainstorm, which I was super excited to paint!

Hasbro/WotC are shooting themselves in the foot here they're creating an antagonistic relationship with the people who develop the only profitable sector of the entire parent company. they've squeezed the golden goose too much and are now reacting about as poorly as you'd expect CEOs are overpaid

Yesterday, Wizards informed us that it doesn’t intend to voluntarily recognize the D&D or Studio X units of our union ahead of a vote. We remain committed to creating a workplace focused on wellness, transparency, and collaboration by winning our coming election.

Dinobot from Beast Wars Transformers, former member of the villain team ends his story the greatest of heroes. Sunset at his back before the epic battle begins, this scene is a perfect thematic fit for a MtG proxy card of Pantlaza.

or realized their schedule was overbooked and moved stuff around like how Lorwyn Eclipsed was moved from 2025 to 2026 (and created this bottleneck) WotC overworked their teams to the breaking point, and I think the executives out to be ashamed (if they were capable of such a thing)

I've also heard that Nintendo is doing this intentionally. Switch's digital storefront was bloated with a bunch of slop, and I'm sure the proliferation of AI usage with game development reinforces Nintendo's reluctance to pass out more kits
