And these are also Glenn Whitmore's first issues so now the books are looking more like the way I'm used to Superman books looking like. Pre-digital coloring had so many limitations it's really impressive he could give the Super-books such a distinct and consistent look across so many line artists

There's something about the way Kerry Gammill draws superheroes that really tickles my fancy. I just re-read the Guardian vs. "Gangbuster" fight and everything about the aesthetic gave me the same warm fuzzies as his Bronze Age Marvel stuff. It helps Stern is writing too.

John Byrne is legitimately an awful inker. His pencils are great when they're inked by a Terry Austin, a Dick Giordano, or a Karl Kesel, but when he inks himself... WOOF. Also this is the story arc where he basically has Barda SA'd to get back at Kirby for parodying him.

So I looked up Mady Castigan's Clearsky, and wow she's going deep into the same "DON'T CALL US 'PEOPLE'" rabbit hole as hardcore TERFs. Hell, I'm not even sure if the TERFs who complain about "pregnant people" would notice if someone listed their names followed by "most of the people". Deranged.

So I've been reading Bruce Wayne Murderer and Fugitive, and... 1) I've been reading it much more slowly than everything else because I just don't like this story. Blech. 2) It's fucking shameful that the TPBs (or at least their scans on DCU Infinite) took off the editors' credits.
