I'm reading John Meacham's The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels. It's astounding how almost exactly 100 years ago, in the early to mid 1920's the Ku Klux Klan fulfilled the role that MAGA is today. The KKK was special in that it not only opposed coloreds, but Catholics and Jews too!
