Unsolicited writing advice, no. 1378: Many would-be authors make the mistake of believing that you "start off" as a children's writer, then "move on" to writing for adults. This is both completely incorrect, and terribly disrespectful to children's authors.

Instagram also finds out if you have trauma and triggers you to death with it. I used to really enjoy Insta (16 years ago lol) but now instead of posting cool pictures of life things, I only post when I have good writing news to share and avoid logging in otherwise. Tis a bummer.

A kid at school came up to me and said 'Ms Fieschi do you know the movie Sylphvania Grove?' So, quite taken aback and all smiles, I said 'I do, I made that movie.' He said he watched it on the weekend and liked it. This absolutely made my day, still smiling about it days later 🥰
