I only met Sam Neil a couple of times, but I loved him.
He came to a play that Ian Darling and I did in Sydney, and later as he talked of the show, I realised he was weeping, he put his arm around my shoulder and thanked me……What the literal?
Now he is gone and I say “ No Sam Neil, thank you 🙏🏼 “
