There’s no “one way” to come into your identity! You don’t have to fit every stereotype of your gender!

Oh hey look at this 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 The very first official Gender Doula merch drop! www.bonfire.com/store/the-ge...
a white background with a pink wiggle shape at the top and an orange-y squiggle at the bottom. In the upper left corner is The Gender Doula logo - it says The Gender Doula in green bold serif font on a black circle with 3 magenta protea flowers behind and around it. Next to the logo, in thick black serif font, it reads, “Official Merch.” These details are the same for each slide and will not be repeated. On the first slide, there is a pink t-shirt that has a design on it. The words at the top of the shirt read “Trans People are Magic”. The design itself has all kinds of hummingbirds, mushrooms, flowers, and plants against a navy sky with golden stars. At the bottom, it says “@TheGenderDoula”. In sans serif font, text above the shirt reads, “It’s finally here!!” And “Totes available too!” Under the shirt, in the same font, it reads, “Trans People are Magic” available in 4 styles and lots of colors!

Okay so this past weekend I did an in-person event and holy shit!!!! I have been reckoning with some imbalances in my energy and this event helped me realize how much time I waste trying to make social media work when connecting with folks in-person is 10000000% better.

here's a pic I snapped today. Ten years later. I had no idea back then what it would be like to fall in love with myself for the first time. I'm so grateful to that younger me. He had so much courage. He was so strong.

Happy ten years on T to me!!! This pic was me, 4 days on T. I was honestly terrified! I thought I wasn't trans enough, and I was so scared that I was making a mistake, or doing something I would regret.

Healed my heart with these gentle friends yesterday. I have realized that These Times™️ require regular thawing of my heart, nervous system, and body. Hummingbirds are good allies for this work 🩷

The threshold for transition is desire.
You do not need to hate your body. You do not need to hate your name. You do not need to hate at all. Because gender transition is a profound act of love. What parts of you yearn for a shift? What will you do to answer that yearning? To transition is to root deeply into love. To grow toward your wildest possibilities. What sun inspires the growth your body seeks? What star guides the ship of your embodiment? Trust it.

One of my fav posts from last year feels extra relevant in these times.
The background of this and all following slides is the same - a blurry pink rose. In white serif font which is also the same for each slide, it reads: The threshold for transition is not self-hatred or dysphoria. It is desire. It is not, “do I hate this body so bad that I must change it.” It is, “Can I love myself enough to let myself transform?”It is not running in the opposite direction of that which hurts. It is running toward that which sustains.Transition (social, medical, etc.) is not a rejection of the self. It is a full-hearted embrace of what is.

The rain is soooo soothing. These friends agree.
On a bed covered in soft pink blankets, a dog and two cats are all curled into matching positions while the rain falls outside.

and here's the rest!
Text reads: How to be nimble: We will be learning this lesson together in 2025 and beyond. However, between the LA fires and a personal health crisis, January of 2025 started my own lessons in nimbleness with a bang. Here’s what I’ve learned so far. Don’t get attached to any specific outcomes, good or bad. Moderate your intake of the news and of other people’s reactions to the news (aka, social media). Focus on meeting the moment where it is at: be present with what is more than what you assume will be. Cultivate your discernment. Resource yourself daily, in as many ways as you can.Text reads: Being Nimble in 2025 and beyond. There will be many lessons about nimbleness to explore in 2025 and beyond. Things aren’t going to be easier for awhile yet, and many challenges lie ahead. But I will be here, learning to be nimble in real time. I hope that you will join me in these explorations, so we can learn how to be nimble together. You’re not alone. We all have work to do, and we can choose to unite and fight together instead of retreating into isolate. I love you. Be Nimble.

Made some graphics about the 2025 theme: Be Nimble.
Background image is the same for all slides and will not be repeated. A white, fluffy mountain goat picks their way down what might, from a distance, appear to be a sheer rock face. Their small hooves manage to find the outcroppings. A beige banner over the top carries bold, black text that reads, "A Theme for 2025." The same color and style of bonner below hold text that reads, "Be Nimble." At the bottom of every slide, a beige banner holds text that reads "@TheGenderDoula | www.TheGenderDoula.com"Text reads: "Why this? In 2024, the trancestors told me that the theme would be resourcing. You can look back at all the ways I explored that theme, and even access my evergreen workshop on the topic (available rn, sliding scale). This year, I figured we would need resourcing more than ever before. But when I asked the transcestors what the theme for 2025 would be, they told me: Be Nimble."Text reads: What do I mean? The good old Oxford dictionary defines “nimble” in the following ways: quick and light in motion: agile marked by quick, alert, clever conception, comprehension, or resourcefulness responsive, sensitive To me, nimbleness means meeting the situation as it comes, being willing (and able) to shift fast, with little warning.Text reads: Nimbleness and Resourcing. Resourcing, the 2024 theme, is crucial for being nimble. As a skill set, it is the backbone of the work that we all need to do together in 2025. As a reminder, this is how I define resourcing: “At its most basic, resourcing is finding ways to give our whole selves what we need to function well and not be in deficit.” When you’re well resourced, even when nimbleness is not your usual state, you’re much more able to access it when needed.

Let’s get to know each other! Quote with a selfie and the lord of your ascendant! Venus, obv. 😉
Eli, a white trans man with brown hair and a brown beard, stands in a redwood grove. He is wearing a pink and green dress and a flower crown, along with several necklaces. He is standing in front of an altar made out of a ladder covered with various items, as well as two puppets - one shaped like a heart with a face on it, and the other, a sun with a face.
