8 of those 9 are Democrats. I’m a Democrat.
And as much as I may admire some of them, not one has actual power in 2026, and many are working from ancient perspectives or paradigms. Some (Schumer and Jeffries) have no backbone. Jeffries was sold to us as Pelosi’s protégé, but Pelosi was a tiger shark, and Jeffries has no shark-like qualities. Obama, who I respect deeply, is the past (on amazing display at his Presidential Center here in Chicago). Their approaches and solutions do not meet today’s issues, including the one from which all other situations and horrors stem.

I am three weeks older than Obama, and even I know you don’t look to the past to change the future. If we’re going to claim to care about the future, on behalf of our children and grandchildren, we have to help give them leadership who will represent them during their ascendancy. The “good old days” don’t mean shit to generations who never lived through them. Let the dinosaurs die.
