Just out of curiosity, what's your definition of "Deep State", @juliacurlee.bsky.social? As you are aware, the term originally stems from the Turkish phrase "Derin Devlet", with interpretations emerging for individual nations. Would a more apt description be a war on necessary bureaucracy? 🤔

GIGGLE FOR GIRLS PTY LTD (ACN 632 152 017) & ANOR
v
TICKLE
[2026] HCADisp 209
S46/2026
1 The applicants seek special leave to appeal from the whole of the judgment
of the Full Court of the Federal Court of Australia (Perry, Abraham and
Kennett JJ), which dismissed the applicants' appeal against the whole of
the judgment of the Federal Court (Bromwich J) and upheld the respondent's
cross-appeal.
2 There is no reason to doubt the Full Court's construction of s 7D(1) and
(2) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth). Any appeal dependent on
the demonstration of error in the Full Court's construction of those provisions
has insufficient prospects of success to warrant a grant of special leave
to appeal.
3 Special leave to appeal is refused with costs.
