This privacy exploit was brought to recon's attention before they launched the "new recon" and they assured me it wasn't a real concern. Hopefully a file explaining EXACTLY how this is exploited with a real-world example will convince them it's a real concern. Please share this with your network.

Way back in the early days of music piracy one of the sort of ethical defenses folks leaned in on, that I think absolutely had merit, was that even when you pirate something you're still engaging in the culture around it and supporting it. Word of mouth, etc. Encouraged more folks to do so.
