It did indeed turn out very well, Rochester Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and some brilliant gravel in between!

@ruari Maybe, although it is my birthday (that's my birthday card in the OP) and Mrs Child has been getting to know 'Barry' the bike I put together especially for this holiday we're on.

Burgundy 'Barry Hoban' bike in the sun, leaning on some rocks with a rural French harbour scene behind it. Bike has been built up with swept back 'moustache' handlebars and 1x gearing.

@jfparis 10m of climbing per 1km of distance (= 1%). Cos its pretty flat where l am 1% is a pretty hilly ride (although, from memory, Audax UK set the bar for a hilly ride (where they start to award climbing points) at 1.5%).

@Alex0007 I got some Corsas, on warm smooth tarmac they felt and sounded amazing. But warm days and smooth tarmac is not the norm here, I think there was only one ride had with them that I didn't get a puncture. Now several thousand kms in to a pair of 4 Seasons with zero issues so far.
