Its a week into the month, but I might as well say something about it anyways. I'm Nonbinary. I've been changing pronouns and stuff on socials to reflect that slowly over time, but I've never like... posted about it. Please use they/them to refer to me in most contexts.

Started day 5-0, getting me in position to draw for the PT invite, but got paired down in the last round. They couldn't safely draw. I lost. 11-4 Proud of my play, sad with the result.

Playing Momo at RC DC this weekend. Finished 6-3 day 1 after running into a bunch of bad matchups. Hoping things go better for day 2!

I won this weekend's Limited NRG Trial, continuing my streak of qualifying for RCs without winning RCQs for over 2 years hahaha. Sealed deck is first +8 forest, 5 island. Top 8 draft is second

On top of that, we also have two more teammates in day 2, both on different versions of Jeskai Control: Chris Botelho is 5-2 on Jeskai Cursed Recording Control. Jennifer-Rose Holloway is 4-3 on Jeskai Gwen Shiko Control - a deck we affectionately have been calling "Jen Caseys".

Sanctum had a great day today at Worlds, with not one but TWO teammates at the top of standings going into day 2! cftsoc (Rei Zhang) and Toni Portolan are both 6-1, both on our version of Otters without many Boomerang Basics. They'll both be in the featured pod for the draft tomorrow!

Submitted what is basically otters for the PT, with the help of some new cards, some cards I hate, some classically good cards, and some spicy tech. This version should be much better, we'll see tho.

Top 4'ed tonight's Standard Chally with a new-old archetype! Inspired by @yoman5.bsky.social trying something similar in the 4/26 Super, I've been labbing this deck for almost a week and I think its really good!! Prowess is so good for us, Oculus is pretty rough, the rest feel workable!

Gaming at RC Portland with something that kinda feels like Classic Nate. Last time I did great at an RC, it was with 4 Vial, and multiple maindeck 1-ofs that finished off the set in the SB. Lets do it again.

The way to be good at Magic is to believe you are capable of being good at magic - as good as the players you look up to - and put in the hard, self-reflective work to get there. To do this hard work you need a supportive community. That exists for you still. Please know that.

Looks like I was wrong! Got 2nd in last night's Chally w/ Mopal Broodscale! I was skeptical of Mishra's Bauble in this deck (still am), but I had several games where it was very nice to turn on Mopal early and be card neutral once I landed more artifacts. I love this deck so much Matchups in Reply

Someone was like “I was worried about your guide after you lost 2 early” and tbh like… think about how your opinion on my advice would have changed if I went 4-4 at this tournament. It was distinctly possible!!!!!! Evaluate Magic ideas on merit not results
