I... I don't want to play.

I mean, you don’t eat a barve like that all at once.

“Follows Star Wars franchise extensively”, “Has built Star Wars collection over time.”

Why are you repeating “Quest will love this book” over and over?

If that is true, would a nullified pardon still be considered an admission to the crime being pardoned? Would seem pertiant to any subsequent prosecutions if there’s a formerly signed act of “confession” on file (even if the pardon function no longer applies).

Go tired of not being able to tell which side was up on of my NS2 carrying case at a glance. So, a quick doodle later… #Nintendo #Switch2

Same case at a different angle, with the light now revealing the black sharpie design of an NES control pad now added.

It was easier to retcon ‘looking at the camera’ as being a genetic trait.

A good fresh Star Trek take on those fake isekai title jokes

A tumblr screenshot showing a post and two reblog responses, reading:
1. "star trek would be the ideal fictional universe to get trapped in because you'd explain your situation and they'd be like yeah makes sense. no further questions. fortunately we can use the mysterious warp signature emitting from this system's icy moon to counterface with the solar radiation and slingshot you back home"
2. "I'm from a universe where your world is all a work of fiction." Benjamin Sisko, nodding. "That happened to me once."
3. "I Got Isekaid Into The Star Trek Universe And They Quickly Understood What Was Happening"

Only heard of it via the SNL sketches- and, even then, didn’t even know that it was a spoof off of an actual show until years later.

S'alright. I'll stick to the online queue and see if i have any luck still, on the off-chance that the people in line is across all performances and not just the one I'm hoping for. Or whatever, no harm trying. My fault for missing the go-live time for 15 min.

Looks like they're cutting that option off. Number no longer listed on queue and "no agents available, call back later" if you try to call.

A shame indeed. I really enjoy that Refit design a lot. Probably a Top 3 Enterprise for me- certainly a Top 5 at the very least.

Billy Buehler @the2ndquest.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

(This is also partially why Enterprise had its song as a main title theme song instead of a more traditional, sweeping orchestral piece- to make it feel more contemporary)

Billy Buehler @the2ndquest.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Even as someone who feels that they should have 100% used Archer's Theme instead (as originally intended), in the song's defense, the lyrics do capture part of the spirit of the show and franchise. However, it should have been used over a montage to close Broken bow out with, not as the main theme.

"It's vile." "I know. It's so bubbly and cloying and happy." "Just like the Federation." "But you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it." "It's insidious." "Just like the Federation."

(not that the shows weren't good, but it's the same era that brought WWF/WWE to Sci-Fi Channel, and that channel in particular expressing less interest in shows like Legend of the Rangers due to a shift away from "space shows")

130

Billy Buehler @the2ndquest.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

That was a thing in the 00's- Sci-fi shows trying to distance themselves from sci-fi in one way or another. Shows avoiding space (Eureka, Tremors, Lost), avoiding aliens or laser guns (Battlestar Galactica, Firefly), or past associations ("Star Trek"-less Enterprise).

I would have speculated that it was in the terms that settled the Romulan War. But why they would continue to abide by it after certain events (like Balance of Terror), I have no clue.

Del Rey's booth was kind enough to give me the demo paperback copy at the end of Celebration IV or V. Ironically, I think I held off so long on reading it (besides normal SW book backlog) because I was planning on getting the hardcover version. I never got around to that, so very grateful they did.

Cliche as it may be, it'd be OG Super Mario. We had an Atari 2600 for years before it, but it's really hard to express what a massive leap forward the NES was if you weren't there. I remember playing Mario for the first time at a friend's house and being blown away.

Second film tried to cross over with the games but was its own tangent at that point. And the third one went way off and just did its own thing. Everything after that started to feel like a Matrix-inspired fever dream with occasional game elements added back in.

Billy Buehler @the2ndquest.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Only the first (in an Aliens B-movie clone kind of way) and third (which goes for a Mad Max type film) are good. The others are sometimes enjoyable, bad movies. First one had the right idea- tell a story parallel to the events of the first game.

Yeah, for an underhyped film, BND’s success is all the more surprising. Just shows the power of Spidey on his own (at least when he’s paired with good reviews and isn’t hindered by reboot issues like ASM, etc).
