There‘s a pop-up and danmei event tomorrow that‘s about an hour and a half by train. I don‘t have anyone to go with though, so it‘ll probably be very awkward….there‘s merch though…and it might be fun to meet new people…the chance of me actually talking to these people is very slim though….hmmmmm…

Every movie, song, and book that you love was made without the technology that people who don’t make art are now insisting is necessary for making art.

First I wanted to be a writer, then an artist, and I wanted to be on „the Voice Kids“ (A german talent TV show where a kid sings a song and the judges are „famous“ German singers. If you win the first round one of these judges becomes your coach, in the second round the audience chooses the winner)

I say „almost done“ as in it‘s still going to take me probably a day to sew everything together

The baby is almost done! Unfortunately the fabric I bought for the hair doesn‘t seem to be that great, since it‘s losing hair all over the place, and I don‘t think I can fix that. But otherwise, look how cute he already is!

And you also get a lot of practice in speaking, which isn‘t really possible when you‘re learning on your own. Plus it‘s really been hard for me to find exercises and tips that cater to my level, since most I‘ve been able to find are created for intermediate learners.

+ I started teaching myself Japanese with a textbook called Genki, which is a book that‘s used in Universities as well. I really want to commit to learning this language, but it‘s still hard to keep up habits, so I imagine going to a class like this really helps.

Learning a new language is definitely a challenge. I unfortunately neither have the option nor the energy to attend physical classes, but after realizing that using apps like Duolingo weren‘t actually going to help me learn a language, +

weve gotta invent some pidw native plant that instead of making them horny makes them sooooo super cold so cold they might die and the only thing that can warm them is skin contact so they have to cuddle naked to cure the affliction.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

against my better judgment, here's a little guy for day 1 of mxtxtober: flower

a simple digital doodle of fox hong-er holding a white flower in his mouth while staring at you with the biggest wettest eye in the three realms. his head and right eye is bandaged but he looks surprisingly well taken care of otherwise, his fur thick and fluffy, if a bit unruly. that is because 1) its easier to draw and 2) he deserves dianxia giving him nice baths with all the fox shampoo and conditioniner okay.

Thank you so much! I know they don‘t have to rhyme, but the original has a certain rhythm to it that is hard to replicate in English. But I think the meaning still comes across quite well, which is what‘s most important to me.

Small poem that I wrote last year and found in my notes. Unfortunately it doesn‘t rhyme in English 😅

The English translation:

The storm has passed.
Winter gives way to spring, which promises warmth.
Birds fly across the lands,
Yet the clouds do not part.

No ray of sunlight, that breaks through,
I do not feel their warmth,
And still listen for thunder
