In this world anyay. Gnashing teeth, venom laced words, & a flash of a Walther PPK — Some didn't even notice pistol until the loud bang rang out & everything goes dark. For good. "I can show you." Driver added, without much enthusiasm, but a curiousity of the other. He wondered how it'd made it++

Bleach blonde & gorgeous .. Easy on the eyes, far more than the usual he'd seen. She had a sort of natural beauty that Driver couldn't place — Not that he'd ever put himself in the middle of something like that. She was still out of his league, whatever league it was. ++

Ken. A name. Not one he'd use before, but she seemed to be addressing him by such. Rather — mistaking him. Drugs? Liquor? Hopeless desperation of the mentally insane? She didn't quite check those boxes. Not outwardly anyway. "Not your guy." He spoke without much regard for her presence.

with a lap. Nothing of significance on the screen, in fact it was pitch black. His scuttling in desperation now quite telling for Driver to connect two & two. "I don't have one." He said plainly, sipping on a coffee he'd ordered himself just prior to this movie-esque meeting.

"I don't need the reason." Driver said plainly, his eyes not lifting from the drink in his hand. A whiskey — neat, a singular glass to hold him over until the night slowed for him. "I drive. I only drive." He'd add, as if setting some ground rules for the impromtu transportation.

Scotch was a comfort. A long-term friend Driver could heavily rely on when it came down to a shit day. That was most days. & it made far better of a friend than most he'd meet. Not that loyalty was always hard to come by, but cause of death through natural means was...elusive.
