If you call Retraction Watch an “anti-science website” you’ve really lost the plot. Or you are desperate to cover something up.

I've heard that he's not known as a grouch in person. But he should be embarrassed for reflexively defending papers that were quite problematic - and he's *still* criticizing the people that pointed that out. pubpeer.com/publications... pubpeer.com/publications...

That a Nobel Prize winner has an ego so fragile he can't imagine his papers might contain errors (or worse), and instead attacks those who find them, says it all. If he can't handle scrutiny, who can? forbetterscience.com/2023/10/04/t...

It's almost like he retweets anything the algorithm promotes to him. Scary question: What is WSED teaching the next generation of scientists? Community note: "No human trials have been done. The before-and-after scan is not from this research."

"[W]e analyze the total retractions that are tabulated by an anti-science website called Retraction Watch. It's basically a website that tries to use retractions as an argument that there's some fundamental problem with how science is being conducted." [AI transcription] ~Nobel Prize Whiner

Other than his hostile stance against scrutiny of his published research, ala WSED and Sabine Hazan, he acknowledged he has absolutely nothing to contribute at a conference about precision oncology.

The Nobel Prize Whiner went on stage to complain about @pubpeer.com, @retractionwatch.com, @forbetterscience.bsky.social, and @elisabethbik.bsky.social... all living rent free in his head. Is there something about winning a Nobel Prize that makes some laureates embrace increasingly kooky ideas?

Perhaps why @boslough.bsky.social initially thought this paper was published in Nature... which he quickly realized was in Nature's "drip tray," Scientific Reports. This "research" led to one of the most commented papers on @pubpeer.com. "Drip tray" term credit to @smutclyde.bsky.social

Baffling judgment. Sharing an extraordinary cancer-treatment claim from an apparent Joe Tippens IVM-touting impersonator, then noting the PET images looked doctored (only after @DrArturoAI flagged that). “Keep an open mind” shouldn’t mean skipping basic source verification.
