As a #canadian I’m so sick of hearing Americans sympathize and say they didn’t vote for him. I don’t care. Your country elected him X2. Do something about it while you can. Your democracy is at stake if it isn’t already too late. Get in the streets and protest en mass. Not just for a day or 2.

Sorry to my American friends but as a Canadian it’s very difficult to imagine our country’s relations normalizing anytime soon. The way Canada has been treated has caused a fundamental shift in how my country perceives the United States. You’ve become a quasi existential threat to us.

I’m a Canadian living in Canada and I see a lot of Americans expressing outrage with the Trump government. When is the American public going to protest? Where are the Democrats? From where I sit it appears there is little public opposition. Not my country but I see a lot of T’s&P’s.

We had a big dump of snow over night so my son and I went snowshoeing in Bronte Creek Provincial Park. He’s an #autistic person and he absolutely loves the sensory experience it provides. He’s getting faster though which makes it harder on me ;)

Currently watching “The Silent Service” on Prime. It’s a Japanese submarine drama based on a manga from the 80s. Certainly not realistic in many respects but my Wife who is Japanese made the following point: remember the original manga was set in the 80’s. It was a response to US attitudes to Japan

I fully expect Canada will (and should) respond to the US tariff with retaliatory measures. I also wonder about exit clauses in the F-35 order. Can we cancel and buy Swedish Gripens instead? Time to find out who our international friends are now. EU is also something we should explore.
