It’s so strange that people insist that “AI is already here, just give up” when the most enduring AI products from the last four years are What If Seinfeld Was Gen-Z, fake viral animal videos, and hideous flyers that all kind of look the same. Just the least essential shit on the planet.

Discogs sales data for the first Angine de Poitrine album. Seriously, they’re going for that much? It’s fine! It’s fine music that no one should spend more than $25 on.

The thing I think most, ten years on after the disaster, is that never having Ezra Edelman's documentary out there for us to see will always eat at me, the closest we'd probably ever have to a proper accounting of him as a human being, you know? Amazing and flawed at once. It's a damn shame.

How it feels watching Bitcoin bros when all of my finances are tied up in obscure private press records

Black-and-white editorial cartoon of a living room with a large wall of DVDs labeled “Blu-ray,” “Special Editions,” “Complete Series,” “Box Sets,” and “Bonus Discs.” A smiling, well-dressed adult labeled “Sophisticated Adults” proudly gestures to the DVD library while another adult admires it. To the right, a slouching teenager labeled “Today’s Mixed-Up Teens” scratches his head and says, “B-but I just ‘stream’ movies…” A TV sits below the shelves, and a small caption near the bottom reads, “Empty handed, empty headed.”
