I have an agreement with Arachne, involving (mostly) relocation to the outdoors when I find her inside, and the threat of smushing if she's uncooperative. She must also not crawl on me, land on me, or build her webs at eye level without potential repercussions. Elsewise we leave each other alone.

Every city has a "signals division" (or such) - with at least one employee (my experience is that this is often their Sign Fabricator) to take calls for "this needs a pedestrian signal" purposes. They're =usually= nice people and LOVE to help.

One anti-pattern that I really, really hate is - when "offering" a feature or upgrade - only presenting a choice between Do It Now and Ask Me Again Later. I would guess that 90% of users, if given their druthers, would actually choose Fuck Off And Never Bother Me Again.

It just recently closed, but Hugh at Lafayette Disc And Media Services (Louisiana) had all the equipment to get this into any other format, invoicing 8-track. I don't doubt there are other historynerds who swap formats for a small fee.
