It still rings true that the best way to get better as an artist is to become so all-consumed with a piece of media or character that you are compelled to draw fanart constantly. Even better if you're horny about it.

It reminded me why I enjoy creating stuff for Tennogen. I live for the player reactions and seeing them like a new skin for their main or find something new they like. It’s so easy to lose yourself in the negative comments on any art your create. This was a nice surprise today.

society being unable to withstand a pair of unexposed breasts all of a sudden, when it was pretty commonplace and natural to feature in classical art, just because "oh i cannot scroll on company time safely!!" has contributed greatly to censorship and puritanical bullshit. just saying.

I know we deride "idea guys" for good reason, but really -good- clients are honing an actual skill that is important in collaborative work. They are doing a part of the work and those are relationships i see leaning much more towards collaborative art, rather than treating artists like printers

Applies readily to games too. It would be so much easier for devs if gamers simply had opinions. Instead we have armchair pros who've never touched gamedev supposing that they know more about what a game needs and how it should be made.

The point of consoles is to serve as cheap and simple alternatives to gaming PCs. If they can't do that, then they can't serve their customer base.

And because I've seen the comparison: This is not an H.P. Lovecraft situation of "separate the art from the artist." Lovecraft is a century dead. He's not alive right now, trying to suppress records of his yacht visiting Epstein Island and swearing to make the lives of millions of ppl unlivable.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
