Well holy shit, never thought this would happen. Can the TV series be next, please?

...So I tried to do some research on a phone I wanted to replace my current one with on Reddit and searched for it... only to get a "ball stretching" subreddit to show up in the results. ...I think that's enough internet for the night.

The main protagonist from Konosuba, Kazuma, looking like he does not want to be here. He is sweating and holding his breath.

So as I mentioned in today's stream, I won't be able to stream on Thursday so I'm hoping to play the fanhack of Ghostbusters (Sega Genesis) some time either Saturday or Sunday!

Yeaaah I finished Castlevania: Bloodlines! Awesome game but not the best "classic" style Castlevania. (That still goes to Rondo of Blood, IMO.) Unfortunately it seems Konami had parts of the VOD muted because of the music. Sorry about that, guys. :(

So yeah, I can't stream tonight. I'll stream Castlevania on Tuesday and try to squeeze in Ghostbusters on Thursday!

011

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I'm gonna try and stream later tonight. MAYBE around 9PM EST. Can't guarantee it, though!

010

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Sooo I might try to stream Saturday with Castlevania: Bloodlines to kickstart Spooky Month. I can't guarantee it'll happen as it could be pushed to later in the week due to IRL stuff. I'll let you guys know on Sat if it'll happen or not!

That was fun streaming again for the first time in awhile! I didn't finish Journey to Silius (but I came close!) so I'll retry next stream!

Today's stream (9/29) at 6PM EST @ twitch.tv/tgoretro: - I'm back! Let's check out an over an hour of retro 80s commercials! - Journey to Silius (NES)! - Maybe more later! #vtuber

The box art to the NES game Journey to Silius. It has a black bar on the left side with the title in orange letters. To the right is a combination of a screenshot of the game where the main character is blasting a robot but above them is a realistic painting of a far off world.

Trying to piece together ideas for Spooky Month streams next month. I know I want to play a classic Castlevania (Maybe Bloodlines?) and play a Resident Evil of some kind. I was also interested in checking out the fan hack of the Sega Genesis/MD Ghostbusters, too.

Ah, nothing like cleaning the room and having the window open to let in the fresh fall air. So refreshing.

Welp, let's see how long this disastrous Warner Bros/Paramount merger lasts before it implodes from the astronomical amount of debt. What do you guys think? 2028? 2029?

010

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Also wanted to add that because of all the isekai slop I'm incredibly hesitant to check out modern-made fantasy manga/manwha. I can only read the same shit so many times about a protag with a super secret skill that ostracizes them but gets him laid and the battle lore is basically Dragon Quest.

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

*casually looks up one of the more popular manga scanlation sites to see what's popular* Why the fuck is this full of incest, isekai slop (with slaves!) and barely-non-hentai-wish-fulfillment-bullshit and why do they all have titles longer than the run-on sentence I'm currently typing. Also

Random thought time: As a lifelong Ghostbusters fanatic, it's tiring to see comments on random GB stuff about how the 2016 movie is a travesty and the WORST thing to ever happen to the franchise. ...it's like, dude, Ghostbusters II was seen as a big disappointment in 1989.

110

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

It's also kinda sad that I'm far more excited about the Metal Slug collection than I am about whatever the fuck Fatal Fury is doing with its DLC characters. lol

Now that Zelda is out of the way, I'm very curious what tomorrow's Direct will have beyond Fire Emblem. I'm gonna temper my expectations but I'm hoping for a new 3D Mario!

000

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

More stuff about the OOT remake: I initially had the same reaction to the visuals that I did back in 1998 with the original. "Whoa, this looks weird." and then eventually gelled with it. I'm REALLY looking forward to playing this on my TV w/ HDR! The voice acting sounds fine to me. 1/3

120

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

...The Ocarina of Time remake looks really good! It's a little disappointing that it seems to be leaning towards a 1:1 remake but with modern gameplay improvements. I was hoping for something closer to the Resident Evil remakes but this seems like it'll be worth playing!

001

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Unfortunately as much as I want to, I will not be able to do a watch-a-long for the upcoming Directs like I have before. I'll definitely share my thoughts later, though!

Recently had to replace my TV. Got a TCL QM7K that was on clearance. A huge upgrade over my old Vizio! But going from a peak brightness of 400 nits to nearly 2000 is taking some getting used to. Gandalf the White's first appearance in Two Towers was BLINDING when I watched it last weekend. lol

BTW I finished Tears of the Kingdom's main story. I really enjoyed it! I think the moment to moment exploration is far stronger than the actual dungeons are, the same issue I had w/ Breath of the Wild. The bosses here, however, are a big improvement. So much more fun! The story was okay like BOTW.

010

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

I've given Tears of the Kingdom another shot after losing interest shortly after its release. Something clicked and I'm having a great time (especially w/ the 60FPS Switch 2 version has) but like BOTW I'm still kinda disappointed w/ the 3 dungeons I've cleared so far. The bosses are fun, though!

Random thought again: One of my dream games is an action RPG done in 2DHD style for Lord of the Rings; the books and not the movies. That way we can get a new interpretation. And all 3 books, not just ending a little bit after the Mines of Moria in FOTR like other book-based games have done. lol

020

T-Go Retro - Poltergeist VTuber @tgoretro.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

Random thought: When is Viz going to do the premium hardcover treatment for Dragon Ball like they'll be doing for Slam Dunk and Detective Conan? That shit could really use a revised translation and ALL color pages properly presented unlike the Viz Big volumes.

I want more info and actual gameplay for Ocarina of Time remake, that little tease was not nearly enough. There is definitely a Direct for this and the movie incoming. I'm also preparing for people to be weirded out by OOT characters cause most of them are weird assholes. lol

Awww, so no Sakura for SF6 Year 4. The two new characters look neat (Arjun looks a little too much like SF6 Ryu, though), Bosch is whatever and Tifa is neat. Resident Evil CODE: Veronica remake was a fantastic announcement especially since the OG game ain't too hot.
