One of the key characteristics in the study of cognition and human evolution is the ability for an individual to recognize that other individuals beside the self exist and have agency. Out of all animals, humans seem exceptionally good at this. The NPC thing is causing humanity to lose this ability.

Not me running to the bathroom in the middle of a transaction bcause Dreams was playing and I couldnt hold back the tears. Its almost been a year since dad passed and it feels like no time has passed at all. Portland time moves faster than SoCal time even tho it's a "slower" city. Getting more done.

Now is a wonderful time to get right with some peers. I'm not the best at sticking with groups but feel proud to engage with my work union (something not everyone has obviously) - it is one of the only outlets of feeling constructive within this system without perpetuating its woes.
