I had a hypothesis that vitamin D prevents cancer. I worked on this for > 10 years, had 3 NIH-funded grants, and published >30 papers on this topic. Based on our work and that of my esteemed colleagues, I concluded that the evidence does not support the hypothesis. RFK Jr., we are not the same.

Texas measles outbreak now at 400 cases and 41 hospitalizations. It was at 327 cases 3 days ago. Unclear how many of the hospitalizations are due to Vitamin A liver toxicity, as promoted by RFK Jr. The number of actual cases surely exceeds 1,000 at this point www.dshs.texas.gov/news-alerts/...

Bottom line: A Mediterranean type diet high in fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, whole grains, low fat dairy products, plant-based foods, and reduced sodium, trans fats, animal-based foods, sugary beverages, ultra- processed foods was the optimal pattern. Link nature.com/articles/s41...

Still hope for coral reefs. Using 28-years of data in Seychelles, we find reefs recovering 4-5 years faster from the 2016 bleaching event, than they did after 1998. Also, a reef that had regime-shifted to macroalgae for over 15 years, is recovering to coral. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

Suspending infection/drug research for 8 years is insane. We've had a recent viral pandemic, tropical diseases expanding into the United States (vivax malaria, dengue), antibiotic-resistant organisms, H5N1 is an ongoing issue along with MPOX. RFK Jr is not a serious person.
