I just backed Panelverse! This is the 2nd project of Dan's that I've backed, and I've liked everything that I've read from him. (Plus if you go to his KS, you'll see the wonderful Huntress image he drew for me for his last one!)

Just talked with Mom, and she's getting a new home health nurse starting this afternoon. Apparently, the one who sent her to the ER last week asked to be reassigned. That's probably for the best. I'm not sure how much I could trust her opinion after last week.

I haven't practiced law in years, and truth be told, I only got a B in con law at law school. That said, this screams blatant 1st Amendment violation to me, since the station/personnel could be punished for violating it. Would someone smarter than me please explain how this law is constitutional?

Since I didn't get much done yesterday due to the hospital visit, I had to do yesterday's and today's stuff today. I'm not done yet, but I am on pace to finish everything I had to finish by today and also about 3/4ths of the stuff I wanted to do this week. Tomorrow is a work project and comics.

The home health nurse that has been seeing Mom since her recent hospital stay just called. Mom's pulse oxygen rates were really low this morning and the nurse called for EMS. They're checking her out now, and her pulse ox has rebounded to the low 90s. I'm guessing she's going to the hospital.

Today is National Comic Book Day! Drop a pic of the first comic books you remember reading. I remember getting this comic off the spinner rack as a "Thank you for behaving in the grocery store" kind of bribe from my mom. I've been hooked ever since.

Justice League of America #171. The cover features Red Tornado, Superman, Batman, Power Girl, Zatanna, Hawkman (Earth-1), Green Lantern (Earth-2l), Green Lantern (Earth-1), Flash (Earth-2), Huntress, Hawkman (Earth-2), Dr. Fate, and the Flash of Earth-1 surrounding a table with a body covered by a sheet. E1 Flash says "This piece of metal holds the clue to the identity of his murderer!" E1 GL responds "If you don't find the answer--more superheroes will die!" A text box says "The JLA & JSA are back together again!"

With all of the Mom hospital drama, I forgot to show off my new shirt that arrived yesterday. I grew up about 2 hours from Atlanta rooting for the Falcons, plus I was a Star Wars kid, so this is perfect for me.

Mom was finally discharged from the ER about an hour ago. It's been long enough for us to grab some dinner on the way and get her comfy and settled. All her test results looked better today, so she was instructed to follow up with her cardiologist soon. Luckily she has an appointment next week.

Spoke too soon. Mom's GP called concerned about some recent test results, so we are currently at the ER getting her checked out. The ER doc doesn't seem too worried, but they're doing more tests.
