I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford new clothes if I need them, but I still buy mostly thrift/second hand. People get rid of perfectly good almost new clothes all the time. Even if I was a billionaire, I think I'd still still browse thrift shops.

I feel it has value for artists and listeners; promo, discovery, metrics, etc. But at the same time, they're laying off staff, paying artists fractions of pennies, and their CEO just keeps getting richer and richer.
