People keep telling me the slogan is being misunderstood. I don't think it is. I actually think its ambiguity is exactly what made it so successful.
"Free Palestine" is broad enough that people advocating humanitarian aid, a ceasefire, a Palestinian state, and the elimination of Israel can all chant it together while convincing themselves they're saying the same thing.
They're not. They're just avoiding the part of the conversation where they have to define what comes next.

I want humanitarian aid, the elimination of Hamas, a durable two-state solution that includes dismantling of at least some settlements and/or land swaps to build a connecting corridor, and a policy aimed at pushing both sides to the table. And that means using both a carrot and a stick.
