i rly struggled w identity as a teen (cus of trauma), so it wasnt til 22yo that i finally felt comfortable calling myself a lesbian. i feel held by the nonconformity inherent in lesbian history, and its given me the space to explore my own gender expression without feeling so claustraphobic

but as a direct result of the social isolation that comes from living in an ableist society + alienation from the ruling class/piltover elite and well, Jayce’s booming voice is easy for Vik to understand. he likes hearing himself talk anyway so its no issue if he is asked to repeat himself :p

to ppl who’ve had little interaction with the deaf and HoH, this avoidance can come off as rude or antisocial. But in reality, being HoH is a disability that can be extremely isolating and lonely

i like drawing mh with a hearing aid because I have multiple family members who are HoH, and it feels like a disability that would be common for zaunites given their exposure to heavy industry and mining. increased noise pollution as a class issue, similar to the smog/grey exposure

Beyond belated, my piece for @jayvikbigbang.bsky.social, a little bit of Vikjayce for the soul. It was lovely being on this project and bouncing around with my fellow creators!
